Integrations
Connect RegLabs to ChatGPT and Claude
RegLabs lets your assistant retrieve regulatory records, supporting evidence, and available links to original sources and RegLabs Studio.
Before you connect
You need an existing RegLabs account with the RegLabs MCP plan. The integration does not sell subscriptions or process payments in the assistant. For questions about account access, email contact@reglabs.ai.
Use the server address shown on this page when you add RegLabs to your assistant:
https://mcp.reglabs.ai/mcp
RegLabs is a remote connector. Your assistant connects to it from the platform provider’s service, including when you use a desktop or mobile app.
Connect in ChatGPT
RegLabs is not yet listed in the ChatGPT plugin directory. Until it is, eligible accounts and workspaces can add it as a custom connection using developer mode.
From the plugin directory, when RegLabs is listed
- Open Plugins in the ChatGPT sidebar and find RegLabs.
- Install the plugin, choose Connect, and sign in with your RegLabs account.
- Review the requested access and approve it to complete authorization.
- In a conversation, select RegLabs from the + menu or mention it with @, then try a prompt below.
With developer mode, before the listing is available
- Turn on Developer mode in ChatGPT settings. It is currently under Security and login; some workspaces show it under Apps, then Advanced settings.
- Open Plugins, select + to create a connection, name it RegLabs, and enter the server address
https://mcp.reglabs.ai/mcp. - Choose OAuth as the authentication method.
- Sign in with your RegLabs account, review the consent screen, and approve access to complete authorization.
- In a conversation, choose Developer mode from the + menu, select RegLabs, and try a prompt below.
Developer mode is available on the web for eligible Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise, and Education accounts. In Business workspaces it is limited to administrators and owners; in Enterprise and Education workspaces an administrator must grant access. Interface labels can change, and workspace administrators control which connections members can use.
Connect in Claude
RegLabs is not yet listed in the Claude Connectors Directory. Until it is, you can add it as a custom connector.
As a custom connector
- On Free, Pro, and Max plans, open Customize, then Connectors, and choose Add custom connector. On Team and Enterprise plans, an owner first adds it in Organization settings, then Connectors, using Add, then Custom, then Web.
- Name it RegLabs, enter the server address
https://mcp.reglabs.ai/mcp, and choose Add. If Claude asks how to set up the OAuth client, choose Register automatically. - Choose Connect, sign in with your RegLabs account, and approve the consent screen. Team and Enterprise members find the connector, marked Custom, under Customize, then Connectors.
- In a conversation, select +, then Connectors, turn on RegLabs, and try a prompt below.
From the Connectors Directory, when RegLabs is listed
- Open Customize, then Connectors, and choose Discover to find RegLabs.
- Choose Connect, sign in with your RegLabs account, and approve the consent screen.
- Turn on RegLabs from +, then Connectors, in your conversation.
Claude allows one custom connector on the Free plan. Interface labels can change; organization owners control which connectors members can use.
Try these prompts
- Find recent enforcement cases about market abuse and show the source links.
- Find regulator communications about cybersecurity and summarize their key points.
- Summarize recent regulatory changes relevant to broker-dealers with supporting evidence.
- Find consolidated duties for a firm category and show the supporting regulatory sources.
Include a regulator, date range, business context, and the output you want when you have them. Your assistant can look up the exact stored regulator and topic values before it filters results, then retrieve selected records for supporting detail.
What to expect
RegLabs is read-only. It can retrieve enforcement cases, regulator communications, regulatory changes, stored extracted obligations, regulation references, notices, consolidated duties with firm-category analysis, and monitoring results. Your assistant uses that evidence to answer your question.
- Source coverage, extracted obligations, and generated guidance vary by record.
- Check firm-category applicability and priority against your firm’s facts and the underlying regulatory sources.
- Monitoring tools run a query when you ask. They do not create recurring email alerts.
- The connector cannot submit regulatory filings or change account limits.
Troubleshooting
- Check that the server address is exactly
https://mcp.reglabs.ai/mcpand that your RegLabs account has the RegLabs MCP plan. - In a workspace or organization, ask your administrator whether connectors, or RegLabs specifically, are permitted.
- If authorization has expired or been interrupted, reconnect RegLabs from your assistant’s connector settings.
If the problem continues, see MCP Support or email contact@reglabs.ai with the platform, the action that failed, and the visible error. Never send passwords or access tokens.
Disconnect
Remove or disconnect RegLabs in your assistant’s connector settings:
- ChatGPT: open Plugins, select RegLabs, and choose Disconnect from its connection menu.
- Claude: open Customize, then Connectors, select RegLabs, and choose Disconnect, or choose Remove from its menu. Organization owners remove it in Organization settings.
Disconnecting the host does not revoke credentials at RegLabs. To request credential revocation or account/data deletion, email contact@reglabs.ai. RegLabs Support verifies your identity and scope and arranges administrative processing, with a five-business-day response target. Emailing a request does not immediately revoke access or delete data.
Policies and terms
RegLabs handles personal data under its Privacy Policy. Your RegLabs account is subject to the Terms of Use you accept when you first sign in to RegLabs Studio.
